The title “Blessings” refers to act of bowing down to a guru’s (teacher) feet before a dance recital. This piece is inspired by my own experiences as a Bharatnatyam dancer who asks for blessings from God and her Guru. The color vs graphite shows the limbo of what is now compared to what was then.
